Delete your account
You can delete your DocFollow account at any time. Deleting it removes your sign-in. Medical records are kept, because doctors are required by law to keep them.
Draft for legal review. This page is a working draft. It describes how DocFollow works today, but it is not final and may change before launch.
Delete it in the app
- DocFollow patient app: open Settings, then tap Delete account.
- DocFollow Doctor app: open Settings, then Account, then tap Delete account.
Can't open the app?
Email accounts@docfollow.in with the mobile number you use for DocFollow. We will confirm with you on that number before we delete the account.
What happens when you delete your account
- You can no longer sign in, on any phone.
- We stop sending you notifications.
- For a doctor, the clinic staff they added lose access too.
- No one can send you new messages in DocFollow, and you cannot send any.
What we keep, and why
Medical records, prescriptions and messages are kept after an account is deleted, because doctors have a legal duty to keep clinical records. The doctor who treated a patient can still see the records they hold. [lawyer to confirm the retention period] See how long we keep information.
Changed your mind?
Email accounts@docfollow.in with your mobile number. After we confirm it is you, we can restore the account.
